As a Harbour side haven for city wildlife, The Royal Botanical Gardens is the perfect sanctuary to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. With a rose garden, fernery and 'Jurassic Jungle' for kids, along with the beautiful views of Sydney Harbour from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, The Royal Botanical Gardens are a must see when in Sydney. They offer free guided walks daily from 10:30am – 12:00pm and Weekdays only from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.

With the old world feel, historic buildings and cobble stones streets, the street markets are a great way to take in all The Rocks have to offer. Every Friday from 10:00 am- 3:00pm the air comes alive with the sights, scents and sounds of street food being served. The range of cuisines on offer tick off almost every box you can think of, from Gyoza hot off the plate; oozy traditional Turkish doughnuts; handmade chocolates inspired by Brazilian desserts and fresh Gozleme made right in front of you.

On the weekend you can expect a flock of people over at The Rocks digging through the stalls lining the streets of The Rocks ready to find their own unique, one-off item. The markets are on every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am – 5:00pm with locally-designed fashion, handcrafted jewellery, textiles, home wares, art, beauty products and photography, plus delicious food on offer to fuel your exploration.

 Located on the breathtaking Mrs Macquarie’s Point, St George Open-Air Cinema provides the best seats in the house to watch your favourite latest blockbuster. With a stadium like seating arrangement and huge cinema sized screen rise up over Sydney Harbour, enjoy the movie with the Opera House and Bridge in the background.  St George also provide and assortment of restaurant-standard food trucks and a pop up bar to indulge ticket holders throughout the film. The program runs over the summer from January 8th – February 20th 2019, and tickets go on sale from December 10.

Situated right it the middle of beautiful Sydney Harbour, Cockatoo Island, the UNESCO word heritage listed site, is the perfect idea for a day trip that takes almost no time to get to! The short ferry ride from Circular Quay takes you to an oasis of history, games and adventure for both adults and the kids. Through the self-guided journeys or audio tours, delve deep into the convict history of Sydney and maritime of our city.
